Hey everyone! Today I’m going to be doing the ” Growin’ Up Book Tag ” which was created by Possibly Literate πŸ™‚ Super excited to be sharing with you guys my answers to the questions and also some photos from my childhood!!! Without further ado, let’s get started with the post!
1. Pre-School : It’s okay to admit it, you’re just in it for the pictures. What’s your favourite illustrated books?
As a child, I really loved the Geronimo Stilton series!!! πŸ™‚ It has super cute and colourful illustrations which were definitely appealing to children. As for now, I love the illustrated editions of Harry Potter too!
2. Kindergarten : NAP TIME! What’s a book that put you to sleep?
Wintersong by S. J Jones. It had such a beautiful cover and beautiful writing style but the storyline just didn’t grab my interest.
3. Elementary School : Recess and story time and jungle gyms – SO MUCH FUN! What’s a book or series that’s just plain fun?
The Percy Jackson And The Olympians series! ❀ I’ll never get tired of rereading that series because it’s so fun and entertaining.
4. Middle School : The awkward and embarrassing years… What’s a book or series that you’re embarrassed you used to be a huge fan of?
The Twilight Saga LOL πŸ˜€ I was obsessed with the series and the movies back in middle school but not anymore of course.
5. High School : The popular girl, the jock, the nerd, the loner – these are all stereotypes, but people are more than they appear! Who is a character that you initially wrote off as a trope / stereotype but grew to love?
I seriously can’t think of a character for my answer haha!

6. College : Out on your own, forging your own path, making your own schedule. What is your favourite coming-of-age story?
The Perks Of Being A Wallflower! I read it a couple of years back and the story still sticks to me. It’s such a real and relatable coming of age story, and I would recommend it if you haven’t checked it out yet πŸ™‚
7. Adulthood :Β Taxes and retirement accounts and car payments OH MY. All depressing, but you still have a sense that the world is your oyster. What is a book that’s pretty depressing, but also has a sense of optimism to it?
Hmm… I would say The Weight Of Zero by Karen Fortunati! The book is pretty depressing and triggering at times because of the topics that it deals with but it was amazing seeing the character’s journey through the whole thing and the ending was just really great πŸ™‚
