Hey everyone! It’s been long since I’ve done a book recommendations post so I thought, why not do one for you all today? 🙂 These are just some random books that I read in 2017 that I absolutely loved and just can’t recommend it enough so let’s get started with the post!

1. The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas
The first book that I obviously NEED to recommend to you guys is The Hate U Give by Angie Thomas! I won’t go too much into detail as to what this book is about because I’m sure everyone in the book community already know about this book but if you haven’t picked it up, what are you waiting for?!
It’s seriously such an impactful and deep novel and it’s one that will stick with you forever. If you’re interested in checking out my mini review for The Hate U Give, click HERE 🙂

2. Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake
Three Dark Crowns is a YA fantasy novel and I would say that even though there are mixed reviews on Goodreads, you should definitely still give this novel a shot! I actually really enjoyed it because of how dark it was as compared to other YA fantasy novels and I’m really looking forward to the sequel that will be out in September.

3. Ignite by Danielle Rogland\
Ignite is a YA dystopian book which I was kindly sent a copy of from Inkitt and I’ve featured it a couple of times on my blog 🙂 I absolutely loved this book and I would highly recommend especially to those who are wary of the genre such as I was because this book made me want to pick up more dystopian novels!
I also have a full spoiler free review of Ignite which you can check out HERE if you’re interested!

4. Every Heart A Doorway by Seanan McGuire
Every Heart A Doorway is a magical realism novel and it’s such a magical and unique book, with complex world building and overall a very different concept from others that I’ve read! It also has a cast of diverse characters 🙂

5. Letters To The Lost by Bridget Kemmerer
The last book I’ll be recommending today is Letters To The Lost! Letters To The Lost is a YA contemporary novel which focuses on topics such as grief and moving forward from it. It was definitely a very impactful novel and I’m sure many others will love it as well ❤ I also have a spoiler free review HERE!

  1. Did you hear that there will be a sequel to Letters to the Lost? I found out at BookExpo that there will be another book, this time following Rev. Needless to say I was super excited when I heard that news.
