{ Book Review } : A Crown Of Wishes by Roshani Chokshi

Hi everyone! It’s been so long since I’ve done a book review but today’s review is going to be exciting because I’m going to be reviewing A Crown Of Wishes by Roshani Chokshi ❤ A Crown Of Wishes is the companion novel to The Star-Touched Queen and I was kindly sent a copy from Pansing Books to review. This review is spoiler free so without further ado, let’s get started!
Release date : 28 March 2017
Published by : St Martin’s Griffin
Synopsis :
Gauri, the princess of Bharata, has been taken as a prisoner of war by her kingdom’s enemies. Faced with a future of exile and scorn, Gauri has nothing left to lose. Hope unexpectedly comes in the form of Vikram, the cunning prince of a neighboring land and her sworn enemy kingdom. Unsatisfied with becoming a mere puppet king, Vikram offers Gauri a chance to win back her kingdom in exchange for her battle prowess. Together, they’ll have to set aside their differences and team up to win the Tournament of Wishes—a competition held in a mythical city where the Lord of Wealth promises a wish to the victor.
Reaching the tournament is just the beginning. Once they arrive, danger takes on new shapes: poisonous courtesans and mischievous story birds, a feast of fears and twisted fairy revels.
Every which way they turn new trials will test their wit and strength. But what Gauri and Vikram will soon discover is that there’s nothing more dangerous than what they most desire.

( All opinions stated in the review are my own! )
I absolutely LOVED The Star-Touched Queen and I’m so glad A Crown Of Wishes did not disappoint! It was equally as beautiful as The Star-Touched queen and I just can’t even. IT WAS SO GOOD 😀
Starting with the plot, it hooked me in from page one. The plot is super intriguing and very action packed as well! Accompanied by Roshani’s beautiful writing style, it was a whimsical story filled with adventure and love. Just like the previous novel, there is mythology elements in the story as well which is always great to see. I honestly can’t even begin to describe how beautiful the writing style is. It added such a depth and magical feeling to the story!
As for the characters, I loved that we got a cast of diverse characters too! We even got to see some of the characters we know and love from the previous novel 🙂 I really really really loved Gauri and Vikram!!! They’re just such wonderful characters to read about and I especially loved the romance between them. I like how it’s slow burning and it was seriously the cutest thing ever. hong
That pretty much wraps up my review and I hope you all enjoyed it! Be sure to pick up a copy of A Crown Of Wishes when it’s out tomorrow or definitely read The Star-Touched Queen if you have not 🙂 Thank you for reading and I’ll see you in my next post, bye!
