Hi everyone! Today I’m going to be talking about some of my most anticipate September releases 🙂 September is definitely a crazy month for book releases and I’m 101% sure I’ll be broke by the end of the month. But it’s also my birthday month so I’m super excited!! There are 7 books I’ll be talking about today, so let’s get started ❤

1. Empire Of Storms by Sarah J Maas
Release Date : 6 September 2016
This is the 5th book in the Throne of Glass series ( not counting The Assasin’s Blade ) and I’m actually excited that this comes out on my birthday! 😀 I haven’t read Queen of Shadows yet but I’ll try my best to read it before EoS comes out.

2. Labyrinth Lost by Zoraida Cordova
Release Date : 6 September 2016
Synopsis :
Nothing says Happy Birthday like summoning the spirits of your dead relatives.

Alex is a bruja, the most powerful witch in a generation…and she hates magic. At her Deathday celebration, Alex performs a spell to rid herself of her power. But it backfires. Her whole family vanishes into thin air, leaving her alone with Nova, a brujo boy she can’t trust. A boy whose intentions are as dark as the strange marks on his skin.

The only way to get her family back is to travel with Nova to Los Lagos, a land in-between, as dark as Limbo and as strange as Wonderland…

I actually wasn’t really that interested in Labyrinth Lost but I’ve been seeing so many great reviews and people have been saying that this is somewhat similar to The Raven Boys and that immediately sold me. Also, I like that there’s diversity in the book 🙂

3. Our Chemical Hearts by Krystal Sutherland
Release Date : 6 September 2016
Synopsis :
Henry Page has never been in love. He fancies himself a hopeless romantic, but the slo-mo, heart palpitating, can’t-eat-can’t-sleep kind of love that he’s been hoping for just hasn’t been in the cards for him—at least not yet. Instead, he’s been happy to focus on his grades, on getting into a semi-decent college and finally becoming editor of his school newspaper. Then Grace Town walks into his first period class on the third Tuesday of senior year and he knows everything’s about to change.

Grace isn’t who Henry pictured as his dream girl—she walks with a cane, wears oversized boys’ clothes, and rarely seems to shower. But when Grace and Henry are both chosen to edit the school paper, he quickly finds himself falling for her. It’s obvious there’s something broken about Grace, but it seems to make her even more beautiful to Henry, and he wants nothing more than to help her put the pieces back together again. And yet, this isn’t your average story of boy meets girl. Krystal Sutherland’s brilliant debut is equal parts wit and heartbreak, a potent reminder of the bittersweet bliss that is first love.
I don’t really have much to say about this book, other than the fact that it’s a contemporary, but I’ve been seeing this book a lot on twitter and I’m interested in reading it!

4. Stalking Jack The Ripper by Kerri Maniscalco
Release Date : 20 September 2016
Synopsis :
Seventeen-year-old Audrey Rose Wadsworth was born a lord’s daughter, with a life of wealth and privilege stretched out before her. But between the social teas and silk dress fittings, she leads a forbidden secret life.

Against her stern father’s wishes and society’s expectations, Audrey often slips away to her uncle’s laboratory to study the gruesome practice of forensic medicine. When her work on a string of savagely killed corpses drags Audrey into the investigation of a serial murderer, her search for answers brings her close to her own sheltered world

THIS BOOK IS DEFINITELY ONE OF MY MOST ANTICIPATED BOOKS OF SEPTEMBER!! It sounds so amazing and I’m definitely in the mood for some mystery / horror. Also, I think that there are some pictures and diary entries in the book which makes it even better 😀

5. Three Dark Crowns by Kendare Blake
Release Date : 20 September 2016
Synopsis :
Every generation on the island of Fennbirn, a set of triplets is born: three queens, all equal heirs to the crown and each possessor of a coveted magic. Mirabella is a fierce elemental, able to spark hungry flames or vicious storms at the snap of her fingers. Katharine is a poisoner, one who can ingest the deadliest poisons without so much as a stomachache. Arsinoe, a naturalist, is said to have the ability to bloom the reddest rose and control the fiercest of lions.

But becoming the Queen Crowned isn’t solely a matter of royal birth. Each sister has to fight for it. And it’s not just a game of win or lose…it’s life or death. The night the sisters turn sixteen, the battle begins. The last queen standing gets the crown.

If only it was that simple. Katharine is unable to tolerate the weakest poison, and Arsinoe, no matter how hard she tries, can’t make even a weed grow. The two queens have been shamefully faking their powers, taking care to keep each other, the island, and their powerful sister Mirabella none the wiser. But with alliances being formed, betrayals taking shape, and ruthless revenge haunting the queens’ every move, one thing is certain: the last queen standing might not be the strongest…but she may be the darkest.

This is Kendare Blake’s debut novel and it has been getting quite a lot of hype and it seems like it’s going to be an amazing fantasy novel and I’m so excited!! ❤

6. Crooked Kingdom by Leigh Bardugo
Release Date : 22 September 2016
Crooked Kingdom is the sequel to Six Of Crows, which I read last year and absolutely loved it, so I’m super excited for the sequel!! If you haven’t read Six Of Crows, drop everything and pick it up now because it has a fantastic plot with fantastic world building and fantastic characters. Need I say more? 🙂

7. Stealing Snow by Danielle Paige
Release Date : 27 September 2016
Synopsis :
Seventeen-year-old Snow has spent the majority of her life within the walls of the Whittaker Institute, a high security mental hospital in upstate New York. Deep down, she knows she’s not crazy and doesn’t belong there. When she meets a mysterious, handsome new orderly and dreams about a strange twisted tree she realizes she must escape and figure out who she really is.

Using her trusting friend Bale as a distraction, Snow breaks free and races into the nearby woods. Suddenly, everything isn’t what it seems, the line between reality and fantasy begins to blur, and she finds herself in icy Algid–her true home–with witches, thieves, and a strangely alluring boy named Kai, none of whom she’s sure she can trust. As secret after secret is revealed, Snow discovers that she is on the run from a royal lineage she’s destined to inherit, a father more powerful and ruthless than she could have imagined, and choices of the heart that could change the fate of everything…including Snow’s return to the world she once knew.

This breathtaking first volume begins the story of how Snow becomes a villain, a queen, and ultimately a hero.

Stealing Snow is Danielle Paige’s newest novel and if you didn’t know who she is, she’s the author of the Dorothy Must Die series! This is actually a retelling of The Snow Queen which is something I’ve never read before. I have seen pretty mixed reviews on Goodreads but I have a weakness for retellings so I’ll probably still give this book a try.
