Most Anticipated August 2016 Releases

Happy Monday everyone! 🙂 Today, I’m going to be talking about some of my most anticipated releases for the month of August. I’m pretty sure I’m going to be very broke during the months of August to December because the amount of books that are coming out during those months is INSANE. There are 5 books I’m going to be talking about today so I hope you’ll enjoy this post!

1) The Beauty of Darkness ( The Remnant Chronicles #3 ) by Mary E. Pearson
Release Date : 2 August 2016
This is the third and final book in The Remnant Chronicles, the first book is The Kiss of Deception and the second book is The Heart of Betrayal. I’m actually currently reading the first two books in preparation for the release of the third book 🙂
If you guys haven’t heard of the first book, it basically follows our main character Lia, a princess who flees on her wedding day. Due to this, the prince who was suppose to marry her goes on a hunt to find her and at the same time, Lia’s father sends out an assassin to kill her. Lia meets two swoon worthy characters named Rafe and Kaden, and one of them is the prince and the other is the assassin. The interesting thing about this novel is that we don’t know who is who until the end of the novel! Definitely check this novel out if the synopsis sounds appealing to you 😀

2) It Ends With Us by Colleen Hoover
Release Date : 2 August 2016
Synopsis : Lily hasn’t always had it easy, but that’s never stopped her from working hard for the life she wants. She’s come a long way from the small town in Maine where she grew up. She graduated from college, moved to Boston, and started her own business. So when she feels a spark with a gorgeous neurosurgeon named Ryle Kincaid everything in Lily’s life suddenly seems almost too good to be true.
Ryle is assertive, stubborn, and maybe even a little arrogant. He’s also sensitive, brilliant and has a total soft spot for Lily; and the way he looks in scrubs certainly doesn’t hurt. Lily can’t get him out of her head, but Ryle’s complete aversion to relationships is disturbing. Even as Lily finds herself becoming the exception to his no dating rule, she can’t help but wonder what made him that way in the first place.
As questions about her new relationship overwhelm her, so do thoughts of Atlas Corrigan, her first love and a link to the past she left behind. He was her kindred spirit, her protector. When Atlas suddenly reappears everything Lily has built with Ryle is threatened.
With this bold and deeply personal novel Colleen Hoover delivers a heart-wrenching story that breaks exciting new ground for her as a writer. Combining a captivating romance with a cast of all too human characters, “It Ends with Us” is an unforgettable tale of love that comes at the ultimate price
I’m so excited for It Ends With Us!! I literally didn’t know it was coming out in August but yeah I recently became obsessed with Colleen Hoover and her books, and I just need to get every single one of the books she has written so I cannot wait to get my hands on this novel ❤

3) Nevernight ( The Nevernight Chronicle #1 ) by Jay Kristoff
Release Date : 11 August 2016
Synopsis : In a land where three suns almost never set, a fledgling killer joins a school of assassins, seeking vengeance against the powers who destroyed her family.
Daughter of an executed traitor, Mia Corvere is barely able to escape her father’s failed rebellion with her life. Alone and friendless, she hides in a city built from the bones of a dead god, hunted by the Senate and her father’s former comrades. But her gift for speaking with the shadows leads her to the door of a retired killer, and a future she never imagined.
Now, Mia is apprenticed to the deadliest flock of assassins in the entire Republic—the Red Church. If she bests her fellow students in contests of steel, poison and the subtle arts, she’ll be inducted among the Blades of the Lady of Blessed Murder, and one step closer to the vengeance she desires. But a killer is loose within the Church’s halls, the bloody secrets of Mia’s past return to haunt her, and a plot to bring down the entire congregation is unfolding in the shadows she so loves.
Will she even survive to initiation, let alone have her revenge?
Nevernight is Jay Kristoff’s new adult fantasy novel and first off, can we just talk about how stunning the cover is?!?! ❤ This one featured in this posy is the UK version and the US version is equally as beautiful! Do pick this book up when it’s out because it truly sounds like it’s going to be an amazing story and I’m so excited for my preorder to arrive 🙂

A Torch Against The Night by Sabaa Tahir.jpg

5) Furthermore by Tahereh Mafi
Release Date : 30 August 2016
Synopsis : There are only three things that matter to twelve-year-old Alice Alexis Queensmeadow: Mother, who wouldn’t miss her; magic and color, which seem to elude her; and Father, who always loved her. The day Father disappears from Ferenwood he takes nothing but a ruler with him. But it’s been almost three years since then, and Alice is determined to find him. She loves her father even more than she loves adventure, and she’s about to embark on one to find the other.
But bringing Father home is no small matter. In order to find him she’ll have to travel through the mythical, dangerous land of Furthermore, where down can be up, paper is alive, and left can be both right and very, very wrong. Her only companion is a boy named Oliver whose own magical ability is based in lies and deceit–and with a liar by her side in a land where nothing is as it seems, it will take all of Alice’s wits (and every limb she’s got) to find Father and return home to Ferenwood in one piece. On her quest to find Father, Alice must first find herself–and hold fast to the magic of love in the face of loss.
Furthermore is Tahereh Mafi’s middle grade novel and if you guys don’t know who Tahereh Mafi is, she is the author of the Shatter Me trilogy ( which I haven’t read, oops ). I’m super excited for this book because the synopsis sounds amazing and I usually don’t read middle-grade books!
